Living room at Santa Fe Lofts in Los Angeles, CA 90014

“The Santa Fe Lofts is a Beaux-Arts style building located in the Gallery Row District of Downtown LA. The building was commissioned in 1907 by William G. Kerckhoff, one of the most important industrialists and financiers in California. Architectural firm Morgan and Walls, an essential contributor of the architectural landscape of Los Angeles, designed the original 8 story building. In 1916, two floors were added; and in 1933, the Santa Fe Railroad purchased the building and occupied 7 floors, for over 50 years.
The building boasts rich architectural characteristics throughout, including authentic hexagonal plaster columns, transforms and doors with new wire glass, skylights and light wells, mosaic tile, oversized windows, and sealed or polished concrete flooring.
